kept on increasing. Well I'm telling you all this story to make your
mind ready to learn a new thing better say a new business. What
you want to possess is a firm determination to have a keen study
about this business.
Have you ever heard about online marketing or internet marketing
or home based business? Or anything likes that. Don't worry if you
don't. I'm here to let you know all about this to make your living a
happy living. Let's start our ride with knowing about online business.
What is Online Business?
Online business means building your business empire through internet.
You might owns a business and want it to flourish. Then Internet is a
way to do it. It hardly matters you deal with any kind of product.
Internet is a place where you get thousands of people who are interested
in your product. What you need is these three things. The recipe of your
online success is your customers who are ready to buy from you, a
product which you want to sell, and determination to learn new ideas.
Let's understand it in our general life. You all might be involved in
some kind of business or you are doing a badly paid job. In every
case there is a company who owes a product and wants it to sell
to the general masses with the help of retailers. The same goes with
the internet marketing. Some Internet Marketers owes some real great
products for general masses. It might be related to anything like
health, e-books, software, etc. As we know that one man can't
announce it's product to every single individual on the net who aspire
to have it. He needs thousands of men to do this piece of work.
In our general life we say them as salesman but in online business
they are known as affiliates.

Affiliates
Affiliates are the online people who promise to sells others marketer?s
products at some fixed rate of commission. For example: - An individual
writes an e-book (it means electronic books that can be downloaded and
can be read out) about Internet Marketing and wants it to sell on the
net. But he doesn't have that much time to announce his product to
every single soul. Now comes the role of affiliates. He will like to do
one thing that can save his time. He will offer the affiliates to sell
his book at some commission rate that is fixed for each sale. Then
comes the next term i.e. traffic.
Traffic
Don't take it as a heavy traffic in your city. It's a traffic which you want
and the city traffic is one which you don't want. In online business traffic
means the number of people visiting your site. The more traffic means
more sales and that means more money in your wallet. Traffic can also be
defined in terms of Conversion Rate, the number of visitors who turns into
your customers. And you want only customers who give you money to make
your dreams a reality.
So this is the beginning of your new life and takes it as a challenge if you
want to be your own boss. I think that now you can't turn off your computer
without knowing a little more about it. So just go and find it out.

Using the Cart Before You Own a Horse, On the Internet

How to build a great website with a fabulous online store full of products, in reverse!
Most people recognize the horse drawn cart analogy in the title, but how many will remember push cart vendors of ice cream or hot foods, moved by man power without the benefit of a horse? Occasionally they are still found at county fairs or country festivals and in small towns speckled across America. Among America?s Amish communities, horse power remains a part of daily life as it once was in every community. Usually, you get the horse before the cart because it is easier that way.
My deep desire to support our troops in a profound way inspired daydreams of starting a non-profit organization that would grow into a great foundation, doing wonderful things for our volunteer military forces. Experience working on fund raising events for Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and other charities enabled me a full blown vision of grandeur. It was a complex vision which would take many pages to describe.
Reading about how to start and run a non-profit group, with all the legal and other complexities, made it obvious another approach was needed. An important part of a great organization is a great website, which was part of the vision. Funds for a business investment were not available, so a search ensued for what was needed at minimal or no cost. Research found some free, self publishing websites that print-on-demand, incurring product costs only when orders are received.
Using the cart to make sales became necessary before the online horse could be purchased. In this case, the online horse was the full service web presence with the depth of online services dreamed of. The web presence needed to be coordinated, assembled, funded, leased on a website hosting server, and then managed.
It started with a small first step. Spending only twenty five dollars, the desired URL address was secured in a two year lease and a small but critical piece of the puzzle was in place. Other available ingredients were a computer and access to the Internet. Graphic art and website building programs were on the shelf as well. A mission of boosting troop morale and knowledge of graphic design for tee-shirts and other imprinted products compelled the preparation and online posting of inspired, exclusive designs that provoke thought. Some designs might make you chuckle too. It was a huge investment in time to create and post about twenty original designs on products to sell but it incurred no cash outlay. Inspiration drove the work onward for months while the cause and results made the work gratifying.
The first offerings were posted on a limited, but free, self publishing website. Limitations of a free service made an upgrade desirable so one was purchased on the same website for less than ten dollars a month. This provided much more space for product expansion and much greater presentation flexibility, resulting in an online store stuffed full of products to be proud of! So the cart has been put out to make sales, with a goal of funding the online horse purchase down the line.
Someday establishing a non-profit organization to serve and inspire our troops may become a project in reality. For now it is only a dream. An IRS tax exempt classification as a non-profit group makes getting sponsorships and grants from companies a lot easier. Tax deductible corporate sponsorship or philanthropist money can make the visions of grandeur possible. So could the rapid sale of shirts and other popular products using a for-profit business model.
Until the non-profit dream becomes a reality, a for-profit model has been established out of necessity. Fifty percent of proceeds will be donated to FallenPatriotFund.org or other worthy causes with other proceeds directed toward the service website envisioned for our troops, which does not yet exist. So far, only the selling cart is posted in a cyberspace shop with unique, morale boosting products offered for sale now. Only time will tell how the rest will develop.
As with getting the horse and the cart, usually a website is built first and the online store with imprinted products is added later. There is also the reverse method explained in this article and driven by necessity.
Necessity is the mother of invention and necessity sometimes mandates using the cart before you own a horse, on the Internet!

Internet And Business Online – The Act Of Interdependence

by: Scott Lindsay

The best role of business online is that of interdependency. We’ve all heard the old saying, “No man is an island.” When it comes to online business this is especially true.

If a business owner who takes their business into the online world determines they will be self reliant and never accept the help of anyone then that individual will not be in business long enough to change their minds.

It is accepted fact that the greatest tool for long-term exposure to your website is through Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Without it potential customers can’t find you. It is unreasonable to expect that you can adequately develop a website without optimizing your website for the best possible search engine ranking.

Search engines also place a high value on sites that have links placed on existing sites. These ‘backlinks’ demonstrate to search engines that others trust your site. By placing your link on their website these other businesses indicate a trust and recommendation for your site.

In effect the two strategies listed above rely exclusively on what others can do for you when it comes to your online business.

Shirley Temple once proclaimed in her movie Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, “I’m very self-reliant.” American westerns are filled with lines dealing with pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and holding down the fort. Many of us have grown up to believe if we want something done right we have to do it ourselves.

This thinking is in opposition to the rules associated with an online business.

The online world can only exist because people share. Individuals share technology, but the also share links, reviews, blogs, forums and a wide range of other marketing strategies that find a commingling of interdependency.

In online business you are as dependent on others as they may be on you. Unlike the word ‘dependent’, the term interdependent indicates a mutual dependency. In other words you are depending on others to help provide links back to your site while they are equally dependent on you (or others) for the success of their business.

Have you really taken a proactive approach to networking? It’s possible you are reading this today and you’ve never considered asking someone else to place a link to your site on his or her online business site.

It can feel awkward depending on others to achieve online success especially if you’ve been lead to believe reliance on others is also a sign of imposing on their otherwise brilliant generosity.

I suppose it could be a deep-seated sense of pride that makes it hard to consider the need to ask others for help. However, the truth is depending on others is really what has made the Internet possible. The growth of this online world is comprised of a link of computers, networks and servers that are connected in a way that provides the maximum benefit for all.

Building an online business can feel a bit like trying to build a house of cards. Without the ability to rely on the other ‘cards’ around you it is virtually impossible to build.

Interdependence. This is the essence of online business.

Ecommerce

Have you ever thought about working an eCommerce business? Would you like to make money from your own home? The impact of young consumers in the on line business community is visible in the way they share product recommendations over the internet. The way eCommerce is changing, growing and improving every day is remarkable. What is eCommerce? eCommerce stands for electronic commerce which is used to describe doing business over the internet; the means of buying and selling goods on the Internet using web pages. That is something most anyone could do if they put there mind into it.

Electronics has gained considerable attention with in home business opportunities over the last few years. And, there is no doubt that developments in wireless technology will have a great influence on the way in home business expands in the future. The field of digital electronics is exciting, fast moving, and constantly changing each and every day; even dashboard DVD players seem quaint and may even become obsolete when you consider how fast electronics research and development is moving in our world today.

I decided to start my on line business because I wanted to be at home with my family. It is important to me to be with my children, but my working is a necessity. I knew I had to do something that would allow me to both stay at home and still have the money coming in to raise my children. Thats when I decided to try an online business of my own. I must admit the hours it took to start this business was stressful but in the end it has been well worth the time. Because I have succeeded I know now that if a person will put a little time and effort into this kind of business the rewards will be great.

How to analyze your website traffic

Mats Lonnstrom | Published 09/18/2007 | Traffic Building | Unrated

Before you start your website analysis, you first have to understand how to interpret the data being presented.

Hosting companies can give you with basic web traffic information that you have to understand and make use of. But then, the data you are getting from your host company can appear too hard to handle if you do not understand how to apply it to your business and website.

Statistics are probably the most precise assessment of how your website is thriving. Thinking that your website is performing well just by looking at your traffic is the most common misconception any website owner can make.

You need to understand is how your website visitors are doing once they visited your site. This is how you can accurately distinguish if your site is effective or not.

* Differentiate hits from quality website traffic.

Hits. This is basically the number of requests taken in by the server. If you think that a hit is equals to the number of graphics per page, then you are thinking wrong.

These hits are not really effective tools in analyzing website traffic.

Your interpretation would be more accurate once you see the number of visitors that are coming in your website. On the same note. Your analysis will be more precise once you have achieved a great number of website traffic.

Once you are not getting large numbers of website visitors, the more your analysis will be misinterpreted.

* The purpose of website traffic analysis.

The main purpose of the statistics is to work out how well or how badly your website is working for your visitors. An ideal ways of trying of knowing is to find out the time your visitor spends on your site.

If they stayed for a only a short period of time, assume that there is a problem. Your goal is to find out what that problem is. You have to know why your visitors did not stay long to check out your site. What made them left ?

* Keywords.

A one thing to be considered. Maybe the keywords that you have used in the search engines are getting you not the targeted website visitors that you wanted. Or it may be what is in your site. Maybe what the visitors have seen have turned them off and they choose to leave. This could be the graphics, fonts or any other visible aspects that you have used in your site.

The keywords are important aspects in bringing quality visitors to your site who are prepared to get or buy your offer. Close analysis of the keywords your visitors are using to find your site will give you a vital understanding of your visitor's needs and motivations.

Try to get to the bottom of this problem. When you have pinpointed what it is, work out a solution so that the same problem will not be encountered again. You can test your new findings and see if they have resulted well. Are your website visitors staying for some time now?

This is where website traffic analysis will help you the most. Sometimes, you get to believe that you have a page that is doing well. But then, you noticed that your visitors do not find it so.

Try and make changes to that page. Take the links, for example. Make them more visible and more catching so your visitors have more tendency to click on that. You could make an improvement on your page. Remove clutters. Your visitors do not want to feel claustrophobic. Make your page accessible.

When you notice that your visitors are staying more on the page that you do not give much focus about, you may consider checking that page out and moving all your most important products on that specific page.

Website traffic analysis can give out important information about how well or how poor your site is performing. This is a crucial factor that any Internet business will not do without if they want to maintain the effectiveness of their website.

Five steps to earning money with affiliate internet marketing

It is all about planning. Many people getting into affiliate marketing are thinking about making a fast buck. It is hard to fault them. Since the formation of CDNow almost thirteen years ago, affiliate marketing has exploded into a billion dollar per year industry. There are also the benefits including little to no overhead, residual income, getting paid for the work of your downline and not having to deal with any customer service problems.

But it is still a business and many people do not understand that a business requires planning. No matter how great the product or service, if you do not have any guidelines mapped out beforehand then you will probably wind up like ninety five percent of affiliate (and internet) marketers who do not make any money online.

Affiliate internet marketing is a lot of work, time, patience, mistakes, uncertainty and constant learning. The key is to create a plan and work it.

Where does it start?

1. Your Office.

Whether working out of your garage, kitchen or bathroom (hey sometimes you do what you got to do), make sure your office is comfortable with proper lighting, ventilation and as little distraction as possible. It is hard to get any work done with the phone ringing every 15 minutes. If you have to, let the answering machine pick up. Set aside blocks of time where you concentrate on nothing but your affiliate marketing

2. Learn and Keep Learning.

Study the affiliate marketers who are making money. Visit affiliate marketing forums. While your overall goal is to become successful, you may from time to time have to change your strategies. Forums are a great place to get tips and ideas that you can adapt to your business. Also, many affiliate programs now offer conference rooms. This allows you to live chat with the product creators, as well as other affiliate marketers participating in the program.

Some conferences are just cheerleading sessions. They get you fired up to sell the product but do not give you any concrete ways to sell it. However, many merchants do provide solid support, answer any and all questions in real time and recommend affiliate marketing strategies to help you. If your merchant is scheduling conferences on a regular basis, take advantage of it.

3. Research Your Target Market.

It is not enough just to know what is going on with your product or service. What are the new trends? Watch television. Read newspapers and magazines. Find out where the hot markets are popping up and how it affects your business. Do not just read affiliate news. Get as much information as possible on what is happening around the world and then apply it to your affiliate business.

4. Your own website.

This is the command center for your affiliate marketing campaign. Yes you can promote different programs without one but this makes it more difficult and less profitable for you. Having your own website means you can capture the visitor information before you send them to the merchant. If they do not like the particular product you are selling at this time, you can always contact them about other offers or promotions later. The beauty is once you get their name and e-mail, you can contact them for as long as they remain on your opt in list. This is called backend and you can believe it is how many of the top affiliate marketers make their money. The money is in the list and the only way to do that is get your own website where people can sign up.

5. Do not kid yourself.

We all want to be millionaires by the time the sun goes down or at least by early the next morning but that is not reality. Affiliate marketing is hard work so set a goal that you can achieve. How much realistic profit can you generate in a month? Start small. If you earned five hundred dollars last month, shoot for seventy hundred fifty next month. They may seem like baby steps but they can stop you from getting any false expectations which lead to discouragement and finally giving up all together. It may take awhile before you actually see any money so hang in there.

According to the AffStat 2007 report over eighty percent of affiliate programs offer revenue sharing. If you plan and treat your affiliate internet marketing like a business, then there is no reason why you cannot share in the profits.

Internet Marketing Basics: What worked years ago still works today!

Internet marketing can seem mystifying not only for beginners, but for moderately skilled internet marketers. With all the courses, forums, blogs, reports, seminars and teleconferences available to help people learn how to get traffic to their sites, it is one of the most overwhelmingly dense subjects on the internet.

Unfortunately, and this is perfectly true, most of the advice or "expert" tips are outdated or completely false. Since anyone can publish on the internet, you have a mixed bag of good information followed with much more bad information.

The mysticism of internet marketing is created largely by this glut of some good and mostly bad information. It makes the whole topic SEEM like rocket science when, in fact, much of what was true about internet marketing years ago is true today.

Most people think that since search engine marketing changes every five minutes, that ALL internet marketing tactics must have changed as much in the same amount of time. Not true.

The basics, like trading links, article syndication, testimonials, forum signatures, joint ventures, affiliate programs - most work as well today as they did years ago. That is, if you know how to value the work above for what it will truly do for your website traffic.

Funny thing is, no one places much value on the above tactics anymore because there is always some "new" tactic around the corner that claims the death of everything that came before it. And most people blindly follow that advice as if it were true.

Most of the time, this is to the detriment of their internet marketing efforts. The basics are what work all the time and what have always worked on the internet.

You can always experiment with new things, as long as you have not forgotten to do the basics. The basics proven to drive traffic, page rank, link popularity, and branding to your business.

Conservative, relevant reciprocal linking
Article syndication
Participation in your field and among your market (forums)
Blogging
Offline advertising
Non-reciprocal linking tactics
Press releases
...and many other proven methods.

Everything else is just a big experiment until proven to work over time. "Over time" being the operative words. Lots of flash in the pan crack pot schemes work for awhile. But most never stand the test of time.

Links from a widely syndicated article will never fade away, yet I see people chasing down fly-by-night linking pyramid schemes as if they truly believe something like that is a smart thing to base their internet business on!

Tens of thousands have walked away from their dreams, gone back to their depressing, predictable, slave-labor jobs never knowing how close they were to actually succeeding.

Good people have left this business proclaiming it an utter lie that any average person can make it with an internet business and an internet marketing plan.

I guess there is truth in that statement. Average people do in fact quit this business before they ever get started because average people fall for tricks and schemes that above average people avoid on their way to success.

If you have read this far, you are probably in the above average category. Why? Because average people would have taken one look at the list of things I mentioned that are the bread and butter of internet marketing and saw nothing but hard work. And they'd be right!

Above average people don't shy away from work though. I don't know a single soul (and my rolodex has some of the biggest names in internet marketing in it) who got where they are today without a lot of hard work.

You can succeed in internet marketing if you are not afraid to work, and not constantly tempted by those who say you can succeed without it!

Focus on the basics of internet marketing and stay with them as you try new strategies. We all experiment. But successful internet marketers never leave their bread and butter tactics behind unless they cease to be effective.

Profitlance - a real money making opportunity

This article had to be written, there is just no way that it could be left without being committed to paper ( albeit virtual ) as an account of about just how exciting the money making prospects behind the Profitlance course really are.

I subscribed to the course ( I say 'subscribe' - just a one off fee for a lifetimes membership. Unlike the Wealthy Affiliate program which requires you to part with more hard earned cash every month ) about 2 months ago. Having trawled through the internet searching and assessing the pro's and con's discussed on many forums for so many 'get rich quick' schemes, there seemed to be a resounding thumbs up for the Profitlance course and its creator # Michael Andrews.

.....I was not disappointed. Once inside the members area - the wealth of information available to me was - quite honesty - astounding. I set about taking the tutorials one at a time and over the weeks I built up an understanding of exactly how this thing works.

I've already started making money using the processes and lessons I am learning from the course - not a lot just yet - but it is explained quite clearly by Michael that this is not about making a relatively large amount of money quickly ( although I am told it is possible - I am just still working full time and also have a house to renovate so therefore cannot afford to spend even the 2 hours a day suggested ). Instead this is about learning the skills that will mean that you can turn this into a real career opportunity and keep making money ( an even more money ) year after year.

The possibilities are endless.

Once inside the members area you are treated to a simple to understand and use 'web site' - easy to navigate and clearly mapped out for you.

Some of the things you can expect to see are

  • At least 10 hours of Video tutorials on over 20 topics and courses
  • A projects area where you learn on live projects - given to you in the course
  • Use of over 15 Websites, specifically set up for your use - to start making money
  • Traffic Generation Tutorials
  • Adsense explained
  • Keyword analysis and discovery explained
  • Sales copy writing tutorials and examples
  • SEO Tactics
  • Affiliate Marketing - explained and implemented for you
  • 25 plus - ebooks collected by Michael and given to you for FREE to complement his teaching
  • Website templates to use and edit
  • Landing page creator
  • Lessons on Blogging
  • Lessons on Article Writing

....I could go on but I fear I may have given away perhaps a little too much as it is.

What I am trying to get across here is that this is a real opportunity for me to finally be my own boss and get that big house in the country, with land, working from home - with my family. It's what I've wanted since I was 16 years old....it's my dream....and I just got bogged down in the rat race and I work long hours and put up with so much stress.....making other people wealthy. That can't be fair can it?

This is why - although I know it's going to be hard work to begin with - I will eventually get what I want.

One thing the course teaches is that failure at first will eventually bring it's own successes, it's about keeping on trying and putting in the effort. Let's face it - most of us don't get something for nothing...it just doesn't work that way...unless you're born into it, in which case you wouldn't be reading this now would you?

I nearly didn't go for this - my wife was convinced it was a scam (I had bought into another online business opportunity some years back with was - quite frankly - pathetic ). What's $77.00 these days though - about 35 quid, just about enough for an evening out at the pub! ( I stayed in that week! ).

I've done further investigation on the net and have managed to find a number of free tools to complement the lessons taught on the course ( in addition to those given to you by Michael Andrews ) .Other Profitlance members are also out there ( some easier to spot than others ) and you can see for yourself that they are making this work ( check out Paul Archer's video testimonial on the main site ).

If you are still really not sure after seeing what the course has to offer. Check out what people are saying about it on the forums - visit these guys for an inside track : work-at-home-forum - I have found this to be the most informative and encouraging discussion group on the subject so far.

After reading what they have to say about the real business opportunity behind profitlance the idea is to make your decision, go with it, and stick with it!
